DIY Mother's Day Clock

Mother's Day is creeping up on us very fast, but you still have time to make a neat clock for your Mom.

You need:
my attached template clocktagger.png or your own
a colour printer
a graphic program*
a sheet of full page sticker for the printer
a small clock from the dollar store
12 picture of you, your family or things your Mom likes
about an hour of your time
You will need to take the small clock apart. Measure the clock face so that you know what size the template should be resized to. The attached template is a transparent png file.
The best graphic program for this project is a one that allows you to work with layers. I would suggest Paint.net a free image and photo editing software for Windows based PC’s. It has full support for layers and special effects, the tools are top notch and highly recommended by many users. There is a strong online community for support and frequent updates to the software. It is comparable to Adobe Photoshop.
You will need to resize and crop your 12 images to fit behind the template. Once everything is in order, I suggest that you print a sample page before printing the actual sticker. Once you are satisfied with your sample you are ready to print the sticker. After printing, make sure to cut it to the exact size of the clock face.
Stick the final sticker to your clock face, re-assemble your clock and there you have it....you are now ready to wrap your unique Mother's Day gift.

Easter is coming

I wish I could find more time to make something fro this Easter. I managed to play

I am still in a middle of unpacking after moving a week ago. So much to do so little time. But I managed to play a little bit. Here is an ugly fellow in green for St Patty's Day.

Real Life is taking over for awhile...

I am moving in 2 weeks. It was a very spontenious and quick decision. Found a house that I ilke very much, owner didn't want to wait another month. So, here I am, made a quickest decision in my life. I am moving on Februry 28th and have less than 2 weeks to pack, change address for utilities, get cable/internet installed, and sooooooo much more. As of the 24th I will not have acces to the Internet until I actually moved in on the 28th.

Oh my...sooo much to do...sooo little time!!!

Clock Face

While I was making some elements for a new scrap kit, I've decided to make something different. First it started out as small flower frames, then I accidentally used the wrong psp filter and this is what happened. I made a clock face.

Here is an example of a finished clock with pictures of my Family, Pets and Friends.




It's very easy to make. Purchase a cheap wall clock from Walmart or your favourite department store. Just place your resized and cropped pictures behind the flowers, resize the graphic to the size of your clock face, print it on a full sticker sheet and cut it out. Carefully take the clock apart, stick the finished clock face on, reassemble the clock and there you have it. Your own, personalized clock.
